I know, it's been a while. My only excuse is that I've been killing myself with a new job and traveling back and forth between rural Illinois and Chicago every other weekend for a part time job. It's been fun, but it kills the muse for a while. I'm trying to bring it back to life however and have this piece to show for it.

Summary: The Eigth Division has been swamped with work lately, taking care of not only their own duties but the duties of the other divisions as Seretei scrambles to reoganize itself in the wake of defection. Shunsui starts to worry that the extra stress has caused his vice-captain to neglect herself, and so he takes up the daily challenge of caring for Nanao when she, herself will not.
Author's note: I orginally started writing this January of 2006 so my thought process has changed several times in the middle of this. Of course, it didn't take forever for lack of trying, but rather just lack of time and when I did have time, I lacked motivation despite opening the file and reading through it. Hopefully, the ending still works with the main body of text ^___^
