Riza is a wonderful character and she's one of the few characters above the age of 15 in the general world of manga to get her chance in the spotlight. Although I love them all, it cheers me up knowing that I can fan over characters closer to my age ^__^

Arakawa could make her happy, but then again, not all heros lead happy lives. It's the sadness in them that forces them to strive for something better and to make the world a better place for others. It's a sad fact of life, but without that extra bit of tragedy placed in our lives, few would have the strength to do the right thing even though it may not always be the moral thing.

That, and I'm a sucker for bittersweet, that extra bit of tang that douses stories in reality. I'm not against a happy Royai story, in fact I love them, but so many are purely comedic and lack the depth of characterization taht Arakawa has given these two characters although alot of that has happened . It's one of the reasons I enjoy writing this pairing.

Thanks for reading and commenting. It means a lot, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, even though it did take me a while to reply back to you.
